Does anyone remember that old browser game "Maze" from thinking-builders studio back in 1999? It was just a simple blue square and you moved it to the yellow exit through some green walls.

Well, I was digging through a super obscure modding index site looking for Doom wads, and I found a link pointing to an "Extreme Edition" of Maze. It was hosted on some weird IP address.

I took screenshots to compare. The original is on the left, this mod is on the right.


It opens with creepy text on the screen. The big problem: LEVEL 1 IS IMPOSSIBLE. The exit is completely walled off. Has anyone played this or know how to beat it?

I just tried it. Yeah there is a solid wall blocking the exit. Bad mod design?

Usually these "troll" mods have invisible walls or fake walls. I'm hugging every wall right now on Level 1 but no luck...

"THERE IS NO WAY OUT" lol 2edgy4me. But seriously, how do we pass lvl 1? Has anybody done it yet?

I've been stuck on 1 for like an hour... I don't get it. There's literally no path. Period.

I found it! In the middle-right area, there's a tile. If you walk on it, it teleports you to the exit corridor! Check out the screenshot of where it is:

Nice find CyberKnight! It worked! Okay, I am on Level 2 now. The message is "PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE". But it's literally just a closed box. I've rubbed against every wall. No teleports here it seems...

I got past level 1 thanks to the pic, but I hate invisible puzzles. I'm stuck on 2 as well.

I'm spamming the arrow keys everywhere on level 2. Nothing is happening.

Level 2 is completely broken. The creator clearly gave up and just made a box to troll us.

Guys, the message "PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE" is quite literal. You have to let go of the keyboard completely. Don't press anything for 10 straight seconds. A wall on the bottom right literally vanishes. If you press a single key while waiting, the timer resets. Just wait!

Wow, you're right ZeroCool! That is so clever but evil. Okay, I'm on Level 3. "GATHER THE PIECES OF YOUR SOUL". There are 5 golden rings scattered in a massive maze...

Level 3 is so easy compared to the first two lol. There's no hidden BS or invisible walls. Just explore the map and grab the 5 rings and the door opens. Finished it on my first try!

Yeah I beat it in 2 minutes. The hardest part was definitely Level 1 and Level 2 haha. For anyone wondering, when you hit the exit on Level 3, a popup just says "YOU SURVIVED". I'm just glad it's over. That was brutally hard at the start.
